Carol Manetta’s education includes bachelor and master degrees in education from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan and with graduate and undergraduate studies undertaken at the University of Michigan School of Business. Her current work entails development of greenhouse construction and greenhouse food production using reused water on the Navajo Nation Indian lands for those who are reintegrating into the work world to enable them to support their families’ health and for tribal strength. As REAP Executive Director, in addition to overseeing this program’s development with student engineers from Arizona State University’s Engineering Projects in Community Service (EPICS) program, she is creating a full training curriculum on worker owned cooperatives. She is also instrumental in amending Arizona state legislation to include profit making cooperatives within current legislation.
